The United States Men’s & Women’s Sailing Championships will take place October 7-10, 2011 on Lake Norman and are proudly being hosted by Lake Norman Yacht Club.
The competition is put on by US SAILING, the National Governing Body for the sport of sailing. US SAILING National Championships provide an opportunity for sailors to compete at the national level and test themselves against the best. This October the best in the country will be concentrated on Lake Norman, N.C. to enjoy the competition, camaraderie and the joy of sailing. This event showcases sailing as a life-time sport that allows competitors of all ages to enjoy the close competition.
Early registration and a welcome party will kick off the event on October 6th. Racing will take place October 7th-10th and will conclude with an awards ceremony on October 10th.
The event will be managed by the volunteer membership of Lake Norman Yacht Club. The Club promotes sailboat racing in a family atmosphere and enjoys a national reputation for organizing and conducting well-managed races. Click here to learn more about LNYC.
